Nothing could have pleased me more than seeing John McCutcheon’s cartoon in the Sunday Tribune Magazine (Oct. 5).

How could anyone be offended by this heartwarming story of a grandfather relating an imaginative story to his little grandson? The posture of the grandfather sitting on a log smoking his pipe is priceless.

The continuity of the life experience is so beautifully portrayed by the Indians’ return at harvest time that we almost believe, and want to believe, that in the cornfields of our own this harvest dance is truly taking place.
