Joan Bowman, 62, of Streamwood, died Wednesday at the Rosewood Care Center in Elgin. Born in Chicago, Mrs. Bowman worked for the Chicago Sun-Times. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia, and a sister. Prayers will be said at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd., Streamwood, to be followed by a mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ansgar Catholic Church, 2041 Poplar Ave., Hanover Park.
