I may be the only one, but I am very proud of Atty. Gen. Janet Reno.

The partisan criticism she is getting reminds me of the problems the congressional “good old boys” gave Eleanor Roosevelt. I still remember the mockery and the slanderous remarks made about Mrs. Roosevelt.

Janet Reno’s intelligence, courage and integrity make her a role model of the finest kind to younger women. Why is it so hard to believe that she is speaking the truth? This is a direct, plain-spoken person whom many of her accusers know is incorruptible. At this point in her life, do they really think she would “sell out”?

House Speaker Newt Gingrich knows she is not a fool, yet makes the accusation that she “looks like a fool.” If anybody in Congress really wants to know why citizens are disgusted with lawmakers, this phony attack on Janet Reno is the type of sleazy behavior we abhor.
