There’s never a shortage of hot topics for discussion in School District 54. We gathered a few recently when we asked residents, “If you could pose a question to Supt. Lynne Rauch, what would you ask?” Here’s what people had on their minds:
“Transportation costs have increased dramatically in recent years, yet the quality has gone down. Why?” – Julia Moskovitz, District 54 bus driver with one child in elementary school and one in junior high.
“Where do you see gifted education going?”- Mary Anne Prost, self-employed mother of two children in the district
“I’ve been here for quite a while and it’s not clear what curriculum the school uses. I know it’s not a secret, but what are the options?” – Sharon Walton-Cruse, mother of a 1st and 5th grader in the district
