Seven windows were broken at two local schools between Friday and Saturday, police said. Vandals apparently used rocks to break two large windows at Pierce Downer School, 1436 Grant St., and then used rocks again to break five windows at Herrick Middle School, 4435 Middaugh Rd., police said. Damage was estimated at $2,400.
