Eugene L. Nitz, 63, died Monday in his Downers Grove Home. Mr. Nitz was a driver for Jewel Foods for 36 years. He was an Army and Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; four sons, Eugene, Karl, Thomas and Michael Plotzke; seven daughters, Suzanne Nitz-Kobus, Doreen, Mary, Diane, Elizabeth Wallace, Denise and Carol Vrdoliak; three sisters; two brothers; and 14 grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Adams-Winterfield Funeral Home, 4343 Main St., Downers Grove.
