Walter C. Johnson, 75, of Elk Grove Village, died Monday in Northwest Community Continuing Care Center, Arlington Heights. Born in Chicago, Mr. Johnson was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. In 1984, Mr. Johnson retired after 43 years with Commonwealth Edison Co. He was a member of Commonwealth Edison Post 118, the American Legion, Elk Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars 9284 and the Elk Grove Senior Center. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores; one daughter, Janet Grossi; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village.
