William Walker McLaury, 83, a sixth-generation Chicagoan and financial analyst for 30 years in the city, died tuesday at his home in Kenilworth after a long illness. A Kenilworth resident for 27 years, he was a 1938 graduate of the University of Chicago. He was president and owner of Antwerp Parlor Furniture Co. In Antwerp, Ohio. During World War II, his company manufactured lockers and torpedo boxes for the Navy. He was later associated with the brokerage firm of Mason & Moran in Chicago. From 1953 to 1983, he was a financial analyst and partner with Duff & Phelps in Chicago. He retired in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Cathyerine; a son, William Jr.; two daughters, Mary Wickersham and Ann Leighton; a sister; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. saturday in the church of the Holy Comforter, 222 Kenilworth Ave., Kenilworth.
