Bruno E. Dojutrek, 75, a World War II veteran and former Chicago police officer, died Friday in Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park. Mr. Dojutrek was born on the Northwest Side and lived there until moving to Norridge in 1985, said his daughter, Darlene Nawrocki. Mr. Dojutrek was a Marine, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He started with the police department in 1951, working there for more than 30 years, his daughter said. Several members of his family were police officers, including two daughters, a brother and a son-in-law. Besides his daughter, Mr. Dojutrek is survived by his wife, Jean; two other daughters, Barbara Howard and Marcie; a brother; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday in Cumberland Chapels, 8300 Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Divine Savior Church, 7740 Montrose Ave., Norridge.
