John C. Hussar, 47, died Saturday in Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Mr. Hussar, a Chicago native, lived in Elk Grove Village for the last 25 years. Mr. Hussar was an owner and operator for Hussar Trucking Inc. and brokered his semitrailer out to Bensenville-based Earth Inc. His wife, Catherine, said that although he battled cancer for more than a year, he kept his sense of humor and continued to enjoy the outdoors until days before his death. Other survivors include his son, Jason; his mother, Eleanor; two brothers; and a sister. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Queen of the Rosary Church, 680 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village.
