Joseph M. Behrendt, 71, a resident of Des Plaines, died Tuesday in the University of Chicago Hospitals. Mr. Behrendt, who was born in Chicago, was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a receiving supervisor for GTE in Northlake for 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Grayce ; a daughter, Audrey Kryger, and two brothers. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
