Norman John Chivas, 82, a longtime resident of Naperville, died Tuesday in the Snow Valley Living Center, Lisle. Mr. Chivas was born in Canada. He attended Lawrence Technical School in Detroit. He was the owner and president of Fleetwood Sales Inc., a manufacturer’s representative for metal detectors and other industrial equipment.. Mr. Chivas started the business in 1958 and was active in it until last June. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Jayne; two sons, Donald and James; seven grandchildren; and two sisters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Naperville Congregational Church, 1 Bunting Lane, Naperville.
