Robert L. Sciaraffa, 41, co-founder of the Sciaraffa & Cosmas accounting firm, died Monday in Our Lady of the Resurrection Hospital in Chicago after a long illness. A Chicago native, Mr. Sciaraffa graduated from St. Patrick High School and Rosary College in River Forest. He started his accounting firm in Oak Park in 1980 with his childhood friend, Chris Cosmas. A licensed funeral director, Mr. Sciaraffa was an associate at Salerno’s Galewood Chapel with his father, Anthony, and was an instructor at Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; his father; his mother, Anna Marie; a son, Anthony; a daughter, Diana; a brother; and five sisters. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Salerno Galewood Chapel, 1857 N. Harlem Ave. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Giles Church, 1045 N. Columbian Ave., Oak Park.
