Bill E. Choate, 59, of Opdyke, Ill., died Wednesday in Good Samaritan Regional Health Center, Mt. Vernon. Mr. Choate was born in Tunnel Hill, Ill., and was a lead man for AT&T and a maintenance supervisor for the Mercantile Bank. He was a Boy Scout leader and Little League coach in Bristol, Ill. Survivors include a son, Larry; four daughters, Cindy Werner, Patti, Jacki and Jenifer; nine brothers; and four sisters. A memorial service will be held Saturday in Mt. Vernon.
