William H. Carter, 82, of Elmhurst, a mechanic for 27 years with Liberty Trucking, died Monday in Milford, Ohio. Born in Sheridan, N.D., Mr. Carter lived in Elmhurst for 35 years. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Survivors include two sons, Paul and William; two daughters, Lisa Anne Sundberg and Cheryl Pixler; two brothers; five sisters; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst.
