As an alumna of Purdue University, I am thrilled to see our football team again shining in the Big 10. I was convinced that it is the talent of new head coach Joe Tiller that again brought a spark of life to our football team.
But after reading your story “Purdue just a man short” (Sports, Oct. 30), I have a better understanding of how much the late Larry Korpitz, even in his absence, has contributed to the team’s success. For those of us who had not realized his impact as an assistant coach, thank you for a wonderful tribute.
