Whirlpool Corp. completed its $217 million purchase of a 33 percent stake in Brasmotor S.A., a $2 billion appliance company in Brazil. Benton Harbor, Mich.-based Whirlpool had owned a 33 percent share. The latest deal gives it two-thirds of the voting shares of Brasmotor.
