Irving Pogofsky, 75, of Northbrook died Friday in Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Mr. Pogofsky owned Frank Brothers Coffee in Roseland. He was very active in politics, having served as a Democratic precinct captain in Chicago’s 49th Ward and worked in the Niles Township Democratic Organization and on several presidential campaigns. Born in Chicago, Mr. Pogofsky attended Marshall High School and played on its football team. Survivors include a wife, Shirley; three sons, Larry, Terry and Scott; a daughter, Nancy; a brother; a sister; and 12 grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
