Robert A. Houser, 69, a retired businessman and Homewood resident, died Thursday of lung cancer in his home. Mr. Houser was a former vice president of operations for Commercial Testing and Engineering Co. in Lombard, where he worked for 38 years until his retirement 1990. Born in Terre Haute, Ind., Mr. Houser attended Indiana State University. He moved to Homewood in the late 1970s. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; six sons, Michael, Stephen, Bruce, Stanley, Robert Andy and Joseph; two sisters; and three grandchildren. Services will be private.
