Thomas M. Rice, 85, an insurance salesman, died Thursday in Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines. Mr. Rice, a Chicago native, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary’s Church Men’s Club and the Cicero Optimists Club. He is survived by his wife, Theda; four sons, Thomas, Richard, John and Dennis; a stepdaughter, Mary Ann Flaskamp; a sister; and 14 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Church, 794 Pearson St., Des Plaines.
