It continues to amaze me how Clarence Page (“Vouchers and other school aids are for the lucky few,” Op-Ed, Oct. 29) apparently wants to keep some children in substandard urban public schools rather than support the voucher concept, which will enable underprivileged children to secure a strong basic education in non-public schools and thereby help them rise above their educationally deprived status and compete in the American workplace. Why deprive kids of a good education?
