Hugh Downs, who co-hosts ABC’s “20/20,” skipped Friday night’s broadcast to protest Barbara Walters’ interview with Marv Albert. The Washington Post quotes an unidentified “20/20” staffer as saying Downs “feels like the show’s going totally tabloid.” Downs said on CNN last month that he would not interview Albert and neither would Walters.
