John Wanda Jr., 70, a World War II Navy veteran and former FBI special agent, died Thursday at his home in Brookfield. Mr. Wanda worked for 15 years as an FBI special agent. He was based in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Chicago. Mr. Wanda, who was born and raised in Chicago, received a law degree from DePaul University in Chicago, said his son, Rev. Michael Wanda. He was an avid reader of science and history books. Mr. Wanda lived in Brookfield for 32 years. He is also survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Elise Crowell and Julie; another son, Steven Wanda; a brother; a sister; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 W. 31st St. in Brookfield.
