John C. Hoffmann, 80, of Aurora died Sunday in Countryside Care Center, Aurora. Mr. Hoffmann attended Mary Queen of Heaven Grade School and St. Mel’s High School. He had been a volunteer for Our Lady of the Assumption Grade School in Atlanta and Rosary High School in Aurora. He was the owner and operator of J&G Grocery Store in Cicero for many years. He moved to Batavia in 1957 and was employed by Batavia Dairy Co. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude, and two daughters, Marjory Hankes and Paulette O’Connor. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Blessed Sacrament Church, 801 Oak St., North Aurora.
