William A. Anderson, 75, of Downers Grove, a former employee of Electro-Motive of La Grange and World War II veteran, died Sunday in a family member’s home in Lisle. Mr. Anderson served four years in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the 12th Bombardment Group of the 81st Squadron. Mr. Anderson was a former longtime resident of Tri-State Village in unincorporated Hinsdale. He served on Tri-State’s volunteer fire department for years and was a member of the Mayslake Council of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his son, Robert C.; a brother; a sister; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan, 4343 Main St., Downers Grove. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in Divine Savior Catholic Church, 1220 W. 67th St., Downers Grove.
