Material Sciences Corp. agreed to acquire certain assets and liabilities of San Francisco-based Colorstrip Inc. Financial terms were withheld. Elk Grove Village-based Material Sciences said Colorstrip, which has annual sales of about $195 million, operates a hot-dipped galvanizing line and coil-coating line for producing pre-painted metal. The deal is expected to close by year-end, and Material Sciences said it will add to earnings beginning in the fiscal year that starts March 1.
