Gertrude E. Taviani, 85, an Elmhurst homemaker, died Tuesday in York Convalescent Center, Elmhurst. She was a lifelong resident of Elmhurst. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Tolomei; two sons, Norman and Paul; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York St., Elmhurst. Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur Ave., Elmhurst.
