Regarding the Oct. 24 MetroDuPage article that mapped out the locations for possible sites for storing nuclear wastes: Argonne National Laboratory was one of those sites.

Nuclear waste is possibly lethal for billions of years. We must come up with an alternative to storing nuclear waste. In the late 1980s I came up with the following idea:

Have NASA manufacture little disposable rockets that could carry nuclear waste on a direct collision course with the sun. The rockets could be sent from some remote island in an ocean to minimize the danger to the planet if something went wrong. The rockets would be thoroughly tested to prevent problems.
