Ruth C. Lanz, 92, of Carol Stream, formerly of West Chicago, a member of a prominent west DuPage County farming family, died Tuesday in Windsor Park Manor, Carol Stream. Mrs. Lanz was raised in Warrenville and moved to the Glasshagel Farm in West Chicago. She lived in West Chicago for 65 years. She was a payroll clerk for Ball Seed Co. in West Chicago for 25 years and operated Bonnielee Dress Shop in West Chicago for eight years. She belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in West Chicago and was active in the Golden Agers, a senior citizens group there. She is survived by two sons, Robert and William; two sisters; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Norris-Whalen Funeral Home, Washington Street and Geneva Road, West Chicago.
