YOUR grandmother can show you a thing or two about being hip – and you’d better pay attention because they’re pretty serious about it at some of the top dance joints in the city. Thursday and Sunday are Swing Nights at Liquid, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave. (cover charge $6), where you’ll find the place packed knee to elbow with twentysomethings swaying and swooping like sky divers. Further north at the Green Mill, 4802 N. Broadway, the equally raucous “Big Swing” happens every Tuesday night (cover $4). Lessons aren’t offered at either of these places – you’re expected to know what you’re doing or pretend you do (the latter is not recommended).
