Jack A. Witt, 88, of Elmhurst, a former machinist, died Thursday in Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He was a machinist with Illinois Gear Machine Co. for 37 years and had his own business, Witt Disintegrating Service in Chicago, for about 15 years, said his wife, Evelyn. He retired in the mid-1970s. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara A. Kuhr; a son, Jack R.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Witt will begin at 10:45 a.m. Saturday and continue until the 11:15 a.m. service at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, 367 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst.
