Phoebe H. Boyd, 85, a longtime Waukegan resident and watercolor artist, died Tuesday in St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. Mrs. Boyd was active with the Lake County Art League, exhibiting her work throughout the North Shore. She made trips with her late husband, Glenn, into China and Tibet. At the time, they were among the first Westerners allowed to visit Tibet in more than 500 years. Survivors include two daughters, Doretta Williams and Carol Bild; a son, James; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church, 128 N. Utica St., Waukegan.
