Kudos to reviewer John Petrakis, who reviewed the movie “Eve’s Bayou” (Friday, Nov. 7) as a “rich, strange tale of a family’s struggles” without ever mentioning that the characters are black.
I hope that we are entering a new era, when the race of the characters, unless it is truly crucial to the plot, is irrelevant.
