Negotiations between a union representing nearly 400 workers at Columbia Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center and the hospital’s management remained deadlocked after nearly a full day of discussions. Talks centering on contract terms were expected to extend late into the night. The Service Employees International Union Local 73, representing service, maintenance and business office workers, could strike Michael Reese as early as 6 a.m. Saturday. A union spokeswoman declined to comment on the group’s plans.
