I had not paid much attention to the impending births of the Iowa septuplets until I saw a photo accompanying the story of their births (Page 1, Nov. 20). What impressed me the most was not the live birth of seven babies but the obstetricians who handled the delivery–two female doctors . . . two black female doctors!

I realize it is not politically correct to admit to a lack of color blindness in my observation. but I just have to say how impressed I was and hope that it might positively impact a few children’s dreams the way it impacted me.
