Paula Grear, 41, who helped start a Chicago engraving company with her brother, died after she was struck by a train Thursday while standing at the Mayfair stop on the Milwaukee West Metra line in Chicago. Ms. Grear grew up in the Morton Grove area. After organizing trade shows for Liquid Carbonics Industry Corp. in Chicago, Ms. Grear started working with her brother last year at KineticFoil Graphics, an engraving company in Chicago. Ms. Grear also played drums in a local all-female band, the Girls, said her brother, Joe Grear. Ms. Grear’s survivors include her parents, William and Mary Ellen; four brothers; and five sisters. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St., Morton Grove. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Martha Catholic Church, 8523 Georgiana Ave., Morton Grove.
