Victor Ing, 73, of Morton Grove died Thursday in Forest Villa Nursing Center in Niles. Mr. Ing, a native of Canton, China, was a professional artist for more than 40 years. His award-winning paintings showed a strong Asian influence with a Western concept of pattern and design. Mr. Ing, a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, was elected to the American Watercolor Society in 1968. He also was a yearly exhibitor in street art fairs in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood and along 57th Street; Ann Arbor, Mich.; and others in the Midwest. Survivors include his wife, Winnie; a daughter, Irena; and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St., Morton Grove. Services will be private.
