Loretta Domek, 84, of San Mateo, Calif., formerly of Chicago, died Wednesday in Hillsdale Manor Convalescent Hospital in San Mateo. Ms. Domek was a native of the Northwest Side. She attended Northwestern University and was a longtime employee of Felt & Tarrant, an office machine manufacturer, where she worked for 25 years as an accountant, her nephew, Herbert Tobey recalled. “She was a quiet, very generous person who was dedicated to the family,” her nephew said. She later moved to California and worked at a hospital in San Jose before retiring. She is survived by a sister, Lillian Tobey. Mass was said Friday in Burlingame, Calif.
