Evan Wayne Lichty, 78, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Elmhurst, died Nov. 17 in Bentonville, Ark. Mr. Lichty lived in Elmhurst for 30 years before moving to Arkansas. He worked for the Railway Express Agency for 35 years and the village of Lombard for three years. He was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and served in the Navy in World War II. He was active at Hope Evangelical Free Church, Rogers, Ark., with the Benton County Helping Hands, Lutheran Braille Center and the Bella Vista Tennis Group. Survivors include his wife, Luella; a son, John; a daughter, Karen Elifson; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton.
