Sylvia Ashen, 85, a founder of Little City, a Palatine center for the disabled, died Saturday in Vancore Hospital in Hollywood, Fla. She was a longtime resident of Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood and moved to Florida 25 years ago. Mrs. Ashen was active in raising funds and volunteering at Little City for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy; four sisters; and three grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday.
