Thomas Robert Wessel, 47, a production manager for Abbott Laboratories, died Sunday of a brain tumor in his Grayslake home. Mr. Wessel received an MBA from Indiana University. He was active in St. Gilbert Church in Grayslake, where he played the guitar in the folk choir for 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Patrice; four daughters, Nicki, Kim, Beth and Amy; three sons, Matt, Ben and Mike; two brothers; a sister; a stepsister; and a stepbrother. Mass was said Wednesday in Grayslake.
