Thomas N. Thurman, 54, a marketing executive who traveled the country representing major business firms, died Nov. 20 in his Lake Forest home. He was a former senior vice president of marketing and development at Ergo Science in Boston and a former executive for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals in Kalamazoo, Mich. Mr. Thurman graduated from Syracuse University in 1965 and later received a master’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Survivors include his wife, Betsey; two daughters, Deborah and Jennifer; his mother, Estelle; and a brother. A memorial service will be held at noon Dec. 6 in First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 N. Sheridan Rd.
