Anna Marie Compton, 67, of Algonquin and formerly of Carpentersville, died Thursday in Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Mrs. Compton worked as the mail room supervisor for Simpson Electric in Elgin for 17 years and retired in 1984. She was a native of Knoxville. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; a son, Jay; a daughter, Charlotte Rucki; her mother, Lydia McIntosh; a sister; two brothers; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
