Edward P. Bucek, 82, a ceramic photographer and war veteran, died Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. Mr. Bucek worked for 56 years at J.A. Dedouch in Oak Park as a ceramic photographer. As a ceramic photographer, he superimposed photos on a ceramic base. The photographs were used for a number of purposes including tombstones. Mr. Bucek was one of the original employees of the company, said his daughter, Carole Viktora. Mr. Bucek was born and raised in Chicago. He later moved to Berwyn and Downers Grove. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps in Africa. He is also survived by another daughter, Anna Mae Adams, and a grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Joseph Nosek & Sons Funeral Home, 6716-18 W. 16th St., Berwyn.
