I just wanted to express my thanks for publishing the commentary by Stephen Chapman titled “Gun-control advocates let no good deed go unpunished” (Op-Ed, Nov. 23).
It is a no-nonsense, rational approach to an emotional problem: The attack by gun-control advocates on our Bill of Rights, starting with the 2nd Amendment. These days it is delightful to see someone write a positive and refreshing article like this on firearms. The gun controllers seem to come from all the liberal leftist ranks and are the only ones getting press most of the time these days, while other citizens rarely have their side of the issue aired.
