Developers of a new subdivision to be called Springwood Estates will begin construction in spring, if it passes the approval process in Ringwood.

The developer made a presentation before the Ringwood Planning Commission last week for a 57-home subdivision on 86.2 acres at the intersection of Barnard Mill and School Roads. An estimated 125 people would reside in Springwood Estates, and each lot would be about 1.6 acres.

The subdivision would also include a central park area of more than 4 acres. Plans also call for a lot and building to be donated as village property.

“The plans look good,” said Village President Rick Mack.

“Our goal is to take maximum advantage of the site and to disrupt the land as little as possible,” said developer Brian Jack.
