Jeffery M. Abfall, 35, died Saturday in his home in Chicago. He was a Chicago firefighter for 11 years and was stationed with Truck No. 7. He was a house painter in his free time. “He was a wild, crazy, funny guy,” said his wife, Karin. Other survivors include three sons, Michael, Richard and Jeffrey; his father, Charles; his stepmother, Diane Abfall; and a sister. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago. A service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3834 N. Spaulding Ave., Chicago.
