Fans of architecture have a couple of interesting events to check out this week. On Tuesday, the Chicago Architecture Foundation unveiled an exhibit of photos called “Architectural Details: Beauty Is Where You Find It.” The show features the work of Chicago photographer Jay King, who snapped beautiful details of some of the city’s less-famous architectural treasures. And at 12:15 Wednesday, downtowners can learn about the restoration of Buckingham Fountain in a brown-bag lunch lecture given by two architects from Harry Weese Associates, the firm that guided the project. Both events are at the foundation’s 224 S. Michigan Ave. headquarters. Call 312-922-3432, ext. 239.
