David M. Thomas, 52, of Downers Grove, formerly of Naperville, died Tuesday in Manorcare Health Service, Westmont. Born in Davenport, Iowa, Mr. Thomas was a teacher at Washington and Madison Junior High Schools in Naperville. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and a master’s degree from National Louis University, Evanston. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, David; and a daughter, Melinda. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Friday in Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St., Downers Grove. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
