Public hearings on the Regional Transportation Authority’s proposed 1998 budget will be held Wednesday. Written comments about the more than $1.68 billion spending plan may be submitted until Dec. 10 to the RTA offices, 181 W. Madison St., Suite 1800, Chicago, Ill. 60602. The RTA board will vote on the budget Friday.
The public hearings, where oral testimony will be taken, will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the following locations:
Cook County: Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph St., Room 2-025, Chicago; Des Plaines Civic Center, 1420 Miner St., Room 102, Des Plaines; Flossmoor Village Hall, 2800 Flossmoor Rd., Flossmoor; and Oak Park Village Hall, council chambers, 1 Village Hall Plaza, Oak Park.
DuPage County: City Hall of Wheaton, 303 W. Wesley St., lower level employee lounge, Wheaton.
Kane County: City Hall of Geneva, 109 James St., council chambers, Geneva.
Lake County: Lake County Courthouse, 18 N. County St., lobby, Waukegan.
McHenry County: City Hall of Woodstock, council chambers, 121 W. Calhoun St., Woodstock.
Will County: Will County Courthouse, 14 W. Jefferson St., Joliet.
